This was a little out of our way, but it was so worth it! Absolutely the best pizza ever. Can't wait to return to NY, will go out of my way to grab me a good pie!
This is the 3rd time I've gotten pizza slices at Mangia's in the last month, and I have to say that they are consistently AMAZING! Just look at the pic I've attached: I included part of my hand for you to be able to have some perspective on just how HUGE their slices are! Forget the other local pizza joints and make Mangia your go-to place for pizza!
Wings were phenomenal -- crispy, juicy, large. Sauce was decent, had a large variety. Pizza was very good, small tip for future orders with Pineapple on Pizza, might want to grill up the pineapples a little beforehand so they're not squishy.
I used to live in Allegany and Mangia was always my go-to. I was in the area last week and grabbed a pizza for my family to try. It has created a problem. They also have fallen in love with the pizza and we live over an hour away. So beware, you might end up driving multiple hours if you try it once.
New to the area, so far this is my favorite pizza place. They have what they say they have, and everything‘s delicious. One slice is 4 and bigger than your head, as opposed to other nearby pizza places, who say on their website they have things, and then don’t, gelato or a meat-lovers pizza for example. The slices at the other place are also smaller and only 50 cheaper, so not worth their value. Mangia’s customer service is pristine and they definitely have their fans, as shown by the tip envelopes on the wall. It’s open later so definitey a good late night stop, but only until 9 so I wish it was later still. They’re open until 10 on Fridays and Saturdays. Every time I go in, there are almost no people which doesn’t make a ton of sense but they also offer carry-out and delivery, and I also come at weird times. The vibes are phenomenal. Will be back and will add photos!
We stopped there by chance-- so glad we did! I ordered a slice of pickle pizza- i know... But it was delicious. We also got the Gouda mac/ cheese bites- also good. The sauce was good too but too spicy for me. The staff was very friendly and nice. We will come back next time we are in town.
I absolutely love this place, their thin crust NY style is right up my alley. I've had to switch from buying full pizzas to buying by the slice for my own food habits, this place is perfect for me. They consistently have a wide variety of slice options, though if its available, I'll order pickle pizza literally every single time...
We're from out of state and we're hoping to find some NY style pizza while here. Lots of mixed reviews, but more good than anything, so decided to try this place out. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall, and the service was lax at best, but we ordered 2 12" pizzas at the counter and had fresh pies in 15-20 mins. Was skeptical at seeing the slices in the display case, but the fresh pizza we got was absolutely delicious! Perfect crust, the right amount of crispy on the bottom, and minimal grease, despite me getting sausage, bacon, and mushrooms. Not too much sauce, and very melty cheese. The flavor was awesome, and altogether just what I was hoping for in a NY style pizza! Ate half of each of them before remembering to snap a pic lol. Would definitely come back in future visits.
